Turkey occupies a unique position in global B2B sourcing — premium production quality close to European standards, but with prices typically 20-35% below comparable Italian or German output. For Indian and GCC buyers, Turkey-route trade is also faster than China-route on many lanes (sea freight to Mumbai is similar; to Jebel Ali, Turkey is significantly closer than Shenzhen). Turkey to India
Most container shipments go via the Suez Canal — Istanbul (Ambarli, Mersin, Iskenderun) → Mumbai/JNPT/Mundra in 25-35 days. Air freight via Istanbul-Delhi/Mumbai is a 9-hour flight, used for fashion-led launches and sample runs.
Turkey to UAE
Significantly faster — Istanbul → Jebel Ali in 14-18 days by sea. Some Turkish exporters use the Dubai re-export hub to reach Indian buyers when consolidating mixed cargo.
